Some Pictures from the Middle Cranial Fossa approach, and Delayed onset of facial Paralysis!

Day 3 face, neck, eye swelling............

3rd day, swelling 3rd day swelling
4th day eye swelling down............
............neck, head, and no paralysis
4th day, eye down, no paralysis 4th day, neck, face, head swelling
 2 weeks stitches removed, scar..........
.............my nice thick hair covers the scar
2 week scar, stitches removed thick hair, covers scar

scar 2 weeks, no stitches raising eyebrows, 2.5 weeks
2.5 weeks biggest smile..............

Big smile with eye patch on, need to keep eye lubricated because it won't close
The paralysis should be temporary, but not sure how long.   Follow up appointment
in Detroit next Friday!

    Hello Denise-
    Your hair covers your scar so well! Lucky!
    My face is the same but that's how it was when I woke up for surgery. Fingers crossed for both of us this is not long lasting!

    Not sure how to reply to peoples comments here, but Gerriann, my hair is really dark but not black. Actually today I asked my mom to look at it and see if it looked gray :) she said no.
